Mariagrazia graduated in September 2021 from Sapienza University of Rome. Her studies were focused on quantum technologies and photonics, carrying out experiments on quantum advantage using integrated chips. She is currently a PhD student in the Hanson Lab at QuTech, Delft, working on the first demonstration of a Quantum Internet stack using nitrogen-vacancy defects in diamonds as a platform for quantum information processing, as well as implementing quantum communication protocols that will establish the roadmap for this new powerful tool. She is also part of the QuTech Speakers, a group of students and researchers dedicated to outreach activities to share and promote enthusiasm and curiosity for quantum technologies among a wider audience.
