Andrés García Vidal
HomeAndrés García Vidal (Sevilla, 1991) is an artist and sound recordist based in the Netherlands and Spain. From an interest in audio’s intrusive scope and its capacity to “break into” he explores specific territories through the notion of noise, orality and memory. Among these territories is his home region of southern Spain, where layers of history, religious oppression, resistance and contemporary crisis have distinctive aural manifestations. His most recent project, Túnel de Estrellas (2023) was part of the show What the Olive Branch Has Seen at Art Viewer in 2024. Andrés has been active in the Dutch film industry since 2022 where he works as a production sound recordist, boom operator and sound designer for film and documentary. He graduated from the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam in 2018.
